Dennis Bunton PhD, LPCA, graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2008 with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health. Dennis specializes in working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender individuals and couples, as well as indviduals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety and adjustment disorders.

In 2015, Dennis received his Doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling from Southern Illinois University where he gained advanced training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. With more than 10 years of experience in counseling utilizing Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Gottmans Principles for Couples, Matrix Relapse Prevention and mindfulness techniques. “I feel that therapy is a supportive and cooperative relationship that provides clients a safe, non-judgemental space to grow, gain insight and learn new ways of understanding and relating to the world we live in and the people we share it with.''
