What the Bible says about REST

Exod 33:14 The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

Exod 34:21 "Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.

IKing 5:4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster.

Job 11:18 You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.

Ps 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,

Ps 55:6 I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest--

Ps 62:1 My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

Ps 62:5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.

Ps 116:7 Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

Isa 32:18 My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Isa 63:14 like cattle that go down to the plain, they were given rest by the Spirit of the LORD. This is how you guided your people to make for yourself a glorious name.

Jer 31:2 This is what the LORD says: "The people who survive the sword will find favor in the desert; I will come to give rest to Israel."

Dan 12:13 "As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance."

Matt 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matt 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Mark 6:31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."
